Jesse Hertstein. I’m Jesse Hertstein, Manager – Corporate Citizenship. My dual role shifts between West Michigan and The World. Locally, I oversee charitable donations, employee volunteering and overall community engagement. Globally, I work with my counterparts in Amway offices around the world, who I help to develop strategies for corporate citizenship an community involvement.
Globally and locally, I spend most of my time with the One by One Campaign for Children. It’s hard to believe they pay me to develop programs that improve the lives of children and capture the stories along the way. Among my journeys, I’ve been in a tin shack in the slums of Kenya, a cheering stadium at a Special Olympics event in China, and an inner-city school in my hometown teaching an eleven-year-old to read. It’s the coolest job in the world, made possible by a generous company that provides outlets for the generosity of employees and IBOs.
My wife Kristi and I have three kids of our own and I love to share my experiences with them. I’m also very involved in my Grand Rapids community, especially with the Greater Grand Rapids Reads Coalition and the Center for Community Leadership.
I hope you can share this One by One journey with me. There are stories that need to be told.
Kim Drabik. I’m Kim Drabik, Manager – Corporate Citizenship. I started with Amway in 1991 as a Scientist and worked in Research and Development for 12 years, including a liaison role to both the West Pacific and Latin America regions for 5 of those years. A few years back, my interests and passions about this company and what it offers took me to Corporate Communications and where I am now in Corporate Citizenship.
I hail from the Northern shores of Lake Michigan, where my parents made it possible for us to enjoy every piece of heaven Michigan offers, skiing, sailing, waterskiing, beach parties, downrigger fishing, fly-fishing, hunting (yes, I am an avid deer and pheasant hunter), blueberries, cherries, apples, just to name a few.
I met my wonderful husband in a college Chemistry lab 1988. We married in 1999, have two sons, Harrison 6 and Rowan 4, and very big dog named Greta.
In every community where Amway operates, One by One is meeting the needs of children and we’re here to share amazing activities with you. Enjoy the stories!
Jessica Ellis. I'm Jessica Ellis, and I'm the Events, Sponsorship, and Corporate Citizenship Specialist for Amway Global. I'm also a beauty writer extraordinaire, volunteer for the amazing Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan, and personal party planner to all my girlfriends.
My interests include Writing, bargain shopping, Detroit Tigers baseball, spending time with the people I love, peppermint lattes, trying (and sometimes ruining) new recipes, the beach, traveling, and learning from others!
I was born and raised in West Michigan and I am a proud graduate from Grand Valley State University where I majored in Public Relations and Sociology. My family is my rock, from which I’ve learned patience, humor, ambition, and unconditional love. My girlfriends are an extension of my family – a wild group of loving, hilarious, irreplaceable women I call sisters. My better half (although we’re miles apart) never ceases to amaze me with his confidence, love of life and adventure, and a laid-back personality I’ll always strive for.
I have been part of the Amway Global family for three years now and spent much of that time working as a writer in the Marketing Services division. I recently moved over to the Public Relations team working on events, sponsorships, and corporate citizenship. I am so thankful for the opportunities I've been given and for my incredible co-workers who help make every day a learning, laughing, and growing experience.
