Hanging out at ATL

I'm sitting here at gate 35 of Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport and thought I'd take advantage of the time to update my blog. I'm on my way back from Achievers in Hollywood. This is my fourth Achievers and I never get tired of meeting IBOs and sharing information about our One by One Campaign for Children.
The best part about Achievers this year was the Diamond Dig. This event took place on day 3 after Expo out on the beach. The team from Artistry buried 150 little colored plastic balls in the sand. They sold little white shovels with the Beauty Begins with Heart logo on if from their booth at Expo. All proceeds went to Easter Seals to support their programs for kids with Autism.
IBOs then had the opportunity to run out onto the beach, dig like maniacs to uncover the balls, which represented a whole slew of wonderful prizes from 1 carat diamond earrings to a $500 Visa gift card, to Go Phones, and much, much more.
It was a hoot to watch. There were folks from 6 months old to 66 years old out there on their hands and knees digging furiously. Sand was flying in all directions. There was a core of staff cheerleaders with red pom poms cheering them on. There were families from the local Easter Seals center sharing their stories. It was a FABULOUS and extremely fun event. And, we raised more than $12,000 for Easter Seals.
CONGRATULATIONS to Marsha Champion for putting together this incredible event.
I took a ton of pictures and when I get back to the office I'll download them and add them to the blog.
